Webmaster
A webmaster is a person that looks after a website, this can be updating information on the site, putting up new links or taking down old and stale information on the site. Large websites like the microsoft website can need a team of webmasters to run it. They can all have different job titles as they will not all be the webmaster.
Designer:
This person will typicaly be in charge of the over all look
of the pages on the site. They decide where the text and the
images will go on the website.
Programmer:
This person will look after the database that feeds all of
the content on to the site.
Graphic designer:
The title of the job explains it all. He/she will design all
of the graphics that are used on the site. This person may also
be asked to produce print products as well, brochures, leaflets etc.
Search engine optimser:
It is this persons role to make sure all of the pages on the
site are search engine friendly. They must make sure that
the pages on site rank well for their chosen keywords on all search engines.
The webmaster will normaly over see all of these people and make sure that the site is heading in the right direction.
