TCP

Transmission control protocol is a reliable way to transfer data over the Internet or on a network. Informtaion travels in packets made up of data. The data has three tasks to perform as well as transfer the data needed. It also has to identify the sender and the reciever and also error check the data once it has been recieved. It is also known as a connection protocol as it provides a relialbe and safe method of the transfer of data. If any of the data that has been sent is corrupt, missing any parts or arrives in the wrong sequence then the data is resent. This is a slower method but it does ensure the safe deilvery of data.
