This is a dedicated telephone line that supports data rates of 43 MBPS in both directions. It actualy consists of 672 individual channels, each of these channels then supports 64K. Each channle can be configured for voice or data traffic. Most telephone companies will let you buy seperate channels if needed, this is then known as a fractual T-3 line. These lines are used by large companies and ISPs, they are also used as part of the Internet backbone.
