IP - Internet Protocol
Internet protocol is a transport network layer, it gives either a safe and reliable transfer of data (TCP) or a speedy non reliable transfer of data (UDP). IP is also known as routable as it can travel over any type of platform Unix, Linux, Windows, Solaris etc.
