Microsoft Founder Bill Gates
Bill Gates the man behind the Microsoft Corporation was born on Oct 28th 1955 in Seattle with his two sisters and his father. He first began playing around with computers and programming at the age of 13 while at the private Lakeside school. He went to Harvard and lived close to the new CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer. While still in harvard Gates developed a version of the computer programming language Basic for the MITS Altair, the worlds first personal computer. In 1975 Gates had formed the company Microsoft with a good friend Paul Allen. He left Harvard so he could put all of his energy into running the company.
Now Microsoft is the most successful company in history, it had revenues of $28 billion for the fiscal year ending June 2002, it employees roughly 50,000 people in over 70 countries. Bill Gates other hobbies include a love for biotechnology, philanthropy, golf and bridge.
